09-04-24 Spring League Round 5

Another great track design and after the three qualifying rounds Louis Parker was the only driver with 41 laps, James Hart and Karl Norris were in second and third places with 40 laps. Freddie Parker and Adam Hancock each had 39 laps, with visiting driver Andrea Torregiani and Benn Norris taking the remaining “A” Final places with 38 laps.

Before the finals Club Chairman Bob Harley presented the Winter League Trophies, well done to the league winners Karl Norris F1, Freddie Parker F2, Darren Holyland, F3 Caleb Jones F3 Junior and all the trophy winners.

Finals

Ian Craig won the “E” Final with Benedict Enion taking second place ahead of Barry Thomas who finished third.

In the “D” Final Will Lacey was the winner from pole position on the starting grid, Ethan Wardle finished in second place being a lap adrift ahead of Kevin Flamson who was third.

Visiting driver Noah Bailey set the fastest lap in the race and won the “C” Final, Caleb Jones was second with Alex Forster third.

The “B” final was very competitive and a great race to watch with less than 6.5 seconds separating the first four drivers at the finish. Chelle Snowden was the winner, Sam Pope took second place , Guy Rogers third and Alfie Hart fourth.

The “A” Final winner was Louis Parker with 41 laps, Karl Norris finished second on 40 laps, Adam Hancock was third on 38 laps with Andrea Torregiani less than a second behind him in fourth place. Benn Norris was fifth with 37 laps and Freddie Parker sixth on 32 laps. A good evening for both “Team Parker” and “Team Norris”.

02-04-24 Spring League Round 4

Louis Parker was quickest after the first round of qualifying on 39 laps with Justin Heath in second place on 38, being just under a second ahead of Karl Norris in third place. All three were quicker in round two, Louis leading with 40 laps, Karl moving up into second place with 39, with Justin in third on 38.

In the final round of qualifying Louis set the best time of the evening with another 40 laps, Karl was second and Justin third, both having 39 laps and Benn Norris was fourth with 38, Mckenzie Wallace, Adam Hancock, and Freddie Parker finished in fifth, sixth and seventh places, all on 37 laps and completing the “A” Final line up.

Finals

First up was the “D” Final where Peter Lax was the winner with some very consistent driving, also setting the quickest lap in the race. Kevin Morris took second place and Will Lacey third.

Daniel Lacey and Andy Hopper were the two quickest drivers in the “C” Final and had a very close race. At the finish Daniel was the winner, Andy being second. A good performance also from Caleb Jones to finish third, being a lap behind the leaders.

The “B” Final proved to be the closest race of the evening. Sam Pope started from pole position, Guy Rogers set the quickest lap of the race and with a tremendous finish over the final 30 seconds of the race just failed to catch race winner Sam by 0.73 seconds. Alfie Hart took third place just a lap down on the leaders, Bob Harley was fourth and Ian Whiston fifth. A great race!

In the “A Final louis had yet another 40 laps to win by a margin of two laps from Karl Norris in second place and Justin Heath in third. Adam Hancock was fourth and Mckenzie Wallace fifth, Benn Norris sixth and Freddie Parker seventh.

26-03-24 Spring League Round 3

Three qualifying rounds and a final as usual for round three of the Spring League.

Louis Parker was the top qualifier being the only driver to achieve an impressive 40 laps, followed by Karl Norris and Simon Pole on 39 laps with Gavin Maciver and Gavin Rice a further lap down having 38 laps..

Finals

Ian Craig had a runaway victory in the “D” Final having 27 laps, Barry Thomas took second place and also was the top “Team Thomas” driver of the evening on 20 laps. Kevin Flamson finished third with 19 laps ahead of Darren Thomas in fourth place on 18 laps. Many thanks to Dan Stones for the time he spent with the drivers giving guidance on setting up their cars.

The “C” Final was a very close race with Gaz de Roeck being the winner, five seconds ahead of Alex Forster in second place. both with 33 laps. Peter Lax set the quickest lap of the race and took third place on 32 laps.

Chelle Snowden was the winner of the “B” Final with 36 laps, Bob Harley was second and Benn Norris third, both on 35 laps.

The last race of the evening, the “A” Final was as usual a tremendous race to watch. Louis Parker having 39 laps and also setting the fastest lap was the winner, Karl Norris took second place and Gavin Maciver third, both with 38 laps. Simon Pole was fourth, Sam Pope fifth and Gavin Rice sixth.

After the first three rounds of the Spring league the leaders are Karl Norris F1, Gavin Rice F2, Steven Myall F3 and Jacob Milne F3 (Junior).

19-03-24 March Clubnight

A Courtney Orme track design this week for the March Clubnight.

Qualifying

Karl Norris was the top qualifier with 38 laps followed by Simon Pole, Adam Hancock and Gavin Maciver all achieving 37 laps.

Finals

The “E” Final was a good race, Joseph Norris winning with 29 laps followed by Ian Craig in second place on 27 laps and Kevin Flamson third with 25 laps.

Gaz de Roeck set the quickest lap in the “D” Final and won the race, Steven Myall took second place and Alex Forster was third.

The “C” Final produced a close battle between Ian Whiston and Richard Johnston with Ian winning, Richard taking second place and Caleb Jones third.

Sam Pope won the “B” Final with 36 laps, Nick Wallace and Benn Norris were second and third respectively, both on 35 laps.

Karl Norris starting from pole position in the “A” Final set fastest lap and won the race on 37 laps. There was a tremendous battle for the next three places between Simon Pole, Adam Hancock and Gavin Maciver. Simon looked to have second place wrapped up but on the final lap of the race Adam Hancock overtook him to finish second by just seven hundredths of a second ahead of Simon, both with 36 laps. Gavin Maciver was fourth a further 1.5 seconds adrift with Gavin Rice and Mckenzie Wallace taking fifth and sixth places, both on 35 laps. A tremendous race to conclude the evening.

12-03-24 Spring League Round 2

Karl Norris was the quickest after the first round of qualifying with 38 laps followed by Guy Rogers, Adam Hancock, Benn Norris and Chelle Snowden with 37 laps. After the second round Karl was still the leader with a total of eight drivers being a lap down – Simon Pole was in second place ahead of Gavin Rice, Chelle Snowden, Guy Rogers, McKenzie Wallace, Adam Hancock, Alfie Hart and Benn Norris. In the third round Karl had 39 laps to be top qualifier. Simon Pole was second, Benn Norris third, Freddie Parker fourth, Adam Hancock fifth and Gavin Rice sixth all on 38 laps. Sam Pope took the remaining “A” Final place being the quickest with 37 laps.

Finals

Alex Forster won the “E” Final with Joseph Norris taking second place, Ian Craig was third, finishing just ahead of Kevin Flamson.

The “D” Final was a close race with very little difference in the best lap-times of the drivers. Gaz de Roeck was the winner by a lap from Darren Holyland in second place with a great drive from Kevin Morris to finish third just over three seconds adrift.

The first three drivers in the “C” Final all finished on the same lap with Richard Johnston winning, Andrew Hopper taking second place and Bob Harley third.

Chelle Snowden won the “B” Final, being the only driver with 37 laps, followed by Gavin Maciver and Nick Wallace with 36 laps.

Just the “A” Final remaining which was won by Kark Norris with 38 laps. It was very close for second and third places with Adam Hancock taking second place just under a second ahead of Gavin Rice, both on 37 laps. Benn Norris was fourth, Simon Pole fifth, Sam Pope sixth and Freddie Parker seventh – all with 36 laps. As usual a great race to watch to conclude the evenings racing;.

05-03-24 Spring League Round 1

A great evenings racing on a fast, flowing track design for the first round of the Spring League with three qualifying rounds and a final.

Some very competitive racing as usual.

27-02-24 Superleague Round 1

Two drivers with 40 laps in qualifying this week, Karl Norris being the quickest followed by Simon Pole. Justin Heath was third with 39 laps with a total of nine drivers on 38 laps.

Finals

Kevin Flamson won the “E” Final with Barry Thomas in second place and Ian Craig third.

The “D” Final winner was Caleb Jones with Gaz de Roeck a lap down in second place, being two laps clear of Darren Holyland who was third.

Bob Harley starting from pole position in the “C” final maintained his lead throughout the race to win with Nick Wallace a lap down in second place, a lap clear of Richard Johnston in third.

Dan Stones won the “B” Final by the narrow margin of 0.22 Seconds from McKenzie Wallace in second place with Chelle Snowden finishing third.

Another great “A” Final this week with Karl Norris being the winner, Justin Heath taking second place and Simon Pole third.

20-02-24 Winter League Round 11

The Final round of the 2023-24 winter league this week on a fast track design.

After the three qualifying rounds there were four drivers on 43 laps, separated by less than six seconds. Karl Norris was quickest taking pole position in the “A” Final, Justin Heath was second, Simon Pole third and Freddie Parker fourth.

Finals

Kevin Morris won the “E” Final some an impressive 34 laps, Joseph Norris took second place after a close race with Kevin and Ian Craig was third.

The “D” Final was won by Gaz de Roeck on 38 laps, Ian Whiston set the quickest lap and finished in second place with Steven Myall third. A great race to watch.

McKenzie Wallace won the “C” Final with 41 laps, Richard Johnston was second on 39 laps and Andy Hopper third with 38.

An extremely competitive “B” Final was won by Benn Norris with 42 laps followed by Sam Pope, Guy Rogers and Bob Harley in second, third and fourth places respectively, each on 41 laps and being less than 1.5 seconds apart.

Just the “A” Final remaining and it did not disappoint, Karl Norris was the winner having 43 laps, Justin Heath was second on 42 laps with the other four drivers all on 41 laps. Freddie Parker was third, Gavin Rice fourth, Chelle Snowden fifth and Simon Pole sixth. A tremendous race, well done Freddie on being the top Junior member of the evening.

13-02-24 February Clubnight

No league points at stake this week with some of the Clubs more experienced drivers also giving advice and help in setting up members cars during the evening. This was very successful, many thanks go to Bob Harley, Simon Pole, Dan Stones and Chelle Snowden. Any members requiring assistance in the future should speak to Bob Harley during any race evening.

A great track this week being a variation to the previous week.

Karl Norris was top qualifier by the fine margin of 0.48 seconds ahead of Louis Parker both on 45 laps followed by Dan Stones with 44 laps, with Freddie Parker and Guy Rogers with 43 laps.

Finals

Ian Craig won the “D” Final making it wins for two consecutive weeks, Kevin Flamson took second place with Nick Newcombe third.

An impressive win by Darren Holyland in the “C” Final being a lap clear of Kevin Morris in second place with Will Lacey finishing third.

Andy Hopper was the winner of the “B” Final with Richard Johnston being just under four seconds behind in second place with Mike Simpson a lap adrift in third.

The evenings racing concluded with a thrilling “A” Final with Louis Parker being the winner just 2.66 seconds from Karl Norris, both with 45 laps. Freddie Parker took third place making it good evening for “Team Parker”. Dan Stones was fourth and Benn Norris fifth.

6-02-24 Winter League Round 10

A testing track design this week with James Hart the top qualifier, Karl Norris being second and having the fastest lap both drivers with 42 laps. Chelle Snowden was third, Simon Pole fourth, Benn Norris fifth, McKenzie Wallace sixth and Freddie Parker seventh completing the “A” Final line up.

Finals

Ian Craig was the winner of the “E” Final being three laps clear of Barry Thomas in second place with Eric Enion finishing third just under a second behind Barry.

The “D” final was won by Kevin Morris ahead of Joseph Norris in second place with Jacob Milne third.

A good win for Josh Freeman in the “C” Final, Louis Speight was just over four seconds behind in second place with Gaz de Roeck finishing third a lap adrift.

The “B” final was an extremely close race, at the finish Guy Rogers was the winner, Alfie Hart second and Sam Pope third, all with 38 laps.

James Hart won the “A” Final with an impressive 43 laps, Simon Pole was second on 41 laps, followed by Karl Norris, Chelle Snowden and Freddie Parker with 40 laps, Benn Norris was sixth on 38 and McKenzie Wallace seventh with 32 laps.
