03-12-2024 Superleague Round 6

The final round of the 2024 Superleague which has been run on alternate months throughout the year with each drivers four best scores from a possible six to count.

.As usual some very competitive racing with Karl Norris being top qualifier on 41 laps, there were three drivers with 40 laps Freddie Parker taking second place, Simon Pole third and Josh Flanagan fourth. Benn Norris took the remaining “A” final place a further lap down.

Finals

Will Lacey had a convincing win in the “D” Final being nine laps ahead of second place driver Eric Enion, Kevin Flamson was third after having to retire part way through the race.

Paul Wallis won the “C” Final from pole position on the start grid, a great performance from junior member Jacob Milne earned him second place ahead of Ian Wyatt in third.

Chelle Snowden was the winner of the “B” Final, Ian whiston finished second with Richard Johnston third.

Another thrilling “A” Final to conclude the evenings racing. The quickest lap time of the race was set by Freddie Parker but the race developed into a close battle between Karl Norris and Simon Pole with Karl winning by just over one and a half seconds. Josh Flanagan was third and Benn Norris fourth. A great race to watch.

Congratulations to Karl Norris the overall winner who scored the maximum possible score of 400 points having won all six rounds of the league.

26-11-24 Winter League Round 4

After the first qualifying round Karl Norris was quickest being three seconds ahead of Freddie Parker, both having 43 Laps with Simon Pole and Benn Norris in third and fourth places on 41 Laps. The order changed after Round 2, Freddie being a second quicker than Karl, both with 44 laps. In the final qualifying round Karl regained the top qualifier spot from Freddie by just four seconds. Simon Pole was third on 43 Laps, Benn Norris fourth and Gavin Rice fifth, both with 42 Laps. Chelle Snowden took the remaining “A” Final place with 41 Laps.

Finals

Just two Drivers making the start in the “D” Final with Carly Hopper being the winner, ten laps ahead of Barry Thomas in second place.

The “C” Final soon developed into a race for the win between Jacob Milne, Ian Wyatt and Will Lacey. Jacob had the quickest lap but the win went to Ian with Jacob taking second place just over three seconds adrift and finishing ahead of Will Lacey in third.

Richard Johnston won the “B” Final with 42 Laps, Ian Whiston took second place on 41 Laps. Paul Wallis finished third with 39 Laps

Another great “A” Final to end the evenings racing, Freddie Parker being the winner with 44 Laps, ahead of Karl Norris in second place on 43 Laps and Simon Pole taking third place just over a further two seconds behind. Benn Norris was fourth on 42 Laps and Gavin Rice fifth on 40 Laps.

19-11-24 November Clubnight

Qualifying

Just Karl Norris with 40 laps in the first qualifying round followed by Junior members Freddie Parker and Alfie Hart both having 39 laps. In the second round Karl and Freddie each had 41 Laps with Karl being quickest, Freddie in second place and Alfie in third place on 40 laps. The final round of qualifying was very close, Freddie and Karl both finishing on 41 laps again and improving their times, with Freddie taking pole position in the “A” final 2.11 seconds ahead of Karl. Well done Freddie!

There were four drivers on 40 laps, Benn Norris, Adam Hancock, Ian Whiston and Alfie Hart.

Finals

Kevin Flamson won the “D” Final with fast improving Carly Hopper taking second place and Eric Enion third.

The drivers in the “C” Final very evenly matched for speed with Mike Simpson winning by four seconds from Ian Wyatt in second place, Will Lacey finished third.

Another fine drive by Alfie Hart in the “B Final, winning the race from pole position ahead of Chelle Snowden in second place and Paul Wallis in third.

Just the “A” Final remaining with Freddie Parker leading the cars away from pole position on the start grid. The pace was very fast with some superb performances from all of the drivers. The finish was extremely close, Karl Norris being first over the line winning the race by just 0.19 seconds from Freddie Parker in second place. It was also a good evening for “Team Norris” with Benn Norris taking third place after a very close battle with Adam Hancock in fourth. Ian Whiston was fifth.

12-11-24 Winter League Round 3

Round 3 of the winter league, with Louis Parker being the top qualifier having 41 laps. Karl Norris was in second place followed by Freddie Parker and Josh Flanagan, all three drivers on 40 laps.

Benn Norris took fifth place being three seconds ahead of Chelle Snowden in sixth place, Ian Whiston took the remaining “A” Final place all three also with 39 laps.

Prior to the Finals Chelle Snowden presented the Summer League Trophies. Congratulations to the league winners F1 Karl Norris, F2 Josh Flanagan, F3 Paul Wallis and F3 Junior Jacob Milne together with all the other trophy winners.

Finals

Kevin Flamson won the “D” Final with Carly Hopper finishing in second place just two laps adrift in her first race at Burton. Barry Thomas was third.

Paul Wallis had a great win in the “C” Final driving his new car for the first time with 36 laps. Mike Simpson was a lap down in second place being a lap ahead of Ian Wyatt in third.

The “B” Final was a fantastic race with just over two seconds separating the first three drivers, all on 39 laps. Leigh Speight was the winner, Alfie Hart took second place and Gavin Rice was third.

The “A” Final was a very competitive race with just under three and a half seconds between the first two cars, both having 41 laps. Louis Parker set the fastest lap and also won the race, Karl Norris was second. The next three drivers were on 40 laps, Freddie Parker taking third place, Josh Flanagan fourth and Chelle Snowden fifth. Benn Norris was sixth with Ian Whiston seventh, both having 39 laps.

05-11-2024 Winter League Round 2

The usual format of three qualifying rounds and a final with Karl Norris the top qualifier, being the only driver to have 38 laps. There were two drivers with 37 laps, Josh Flanagan taking second place and Freddie Parker third. Lee Speight Benn, Norris and Ian Whiston took the remaining “A” Final places on 36 Laps with Richard Johnston just missing out by 0.68 seconds.

Finals

Louis Speight won the “D” Final, finishing ahead of Kevin Flamson who set had the quickest lap time in the race. Barry Thomas finished in third place.

Kevin Morris was the “C” Final winner being two laps ahead of the rest of the field with Will Lacey and Ian Wyatt battling it out for second and third places. It was a very close finish with Ian taking second place just over a second ahead of Will.

The “B” Final was won by Richard Johnston, Leon Janyshiwskyj finished in second place with a good drive from Steven Myall in third.

Karl Norris won the “A” Final from pole position on the start grid with a tremendous 39 laps and also setting the fastest lap time. Freddie Parker took second place just ahead of Josh Flanagan, both on 38 laps and having the same best lap times. Benn Norris finished fourth and Lee Speight fifth, both on 37 laps ahead of Ian Whiston who was sixth with 36 laps. A great race to watch !

29-10-24 Winter League Round 1

Another very competitive evenings racing with Louis Parker being the quickest after the three qualifying rounds, just under three seconds ahead of Karl Norris, both with 41 laps. Josh Flanagan, Benn Norris, Freddie Parker, Chelle Snowden and Lee Speight took the next five places. all with 40 laps.

FINALS

Jaylen Lacey had a runaway victory in the “E” final being eight laps clear of Benedict Enion in second place with Eric Enion third further 1.4 seconds behind.

An incredibly close finish in the “D” final between Ian Wyatt and Saul Theobold who set the quickest lap in the race. The winner was Ian with Saul just 0.18 seconds adrift in second place. Will Lacey was third.

Leon Janyshiwskyj had a convincing win in the “C” Final being a lap clear of Kevin Morris in second place with Ben Theobold finishing third.

Chelle Snowden won the “B” Final by just over a lap from Alfie Hart in second place with Richard Johnston taking third place just 0.31 seconds ahead of Lee Speight.

Just the “A” Final remaining which produced a thrilling race from start to finish. There was just over three and a half seconds between the first four drivers. Louis Parker starting from pole position was the winner with Karl Norris just 0.33 seconds behind in second place, Freddie Parker was third and Benn Norris fourth all with 40 laps. Josh Flanagan was fifth on 39 laps. Another good result for both Teams “Parker” and “Norris”.

22-10-24 Superleague 2024 Round 5

Louis Parker was the top qualifier for the third week in succession, followed by Karl Norris just under four seconds adrift, both having 36 laps. Josh Flanagan and Benn Norris were third and fourth respectively with 35 laps, Simon pole fifth on 34 laps, Chelle Snowden in sixth place on 33 laps and Richard Johnston seventh with 32 laps to complete the “A” Final line-up.

Jaylen Lacey won the “D” Final being a lap clear of Darren Thomas in second place, with Eric Enion finishing third a further lap adrift, Well done Jaylen!

Peter Lax was the winner in the “C” Final after a close run race with Will Lacey who finished in second place. Paul Carter finished third.

The “B” Final was won by Freddie Parker with an excellent drive having 35 Laps. The other drivers were evenly matched for lap times with Kevin Morris taking second place with 32 Laps and Mike Simpson third on 30 laps.

Yet another thrilling “A” Final with Louis Parker and Karl Norris racing wheel to wheel for the lead. It was Karl who crossed the finish line first for the win, being just 0.38 seconds ahead of Louis in second place.

It was very close also for the next three places with Chelle Snowden finishing third, Benn Norris fourth and Josh Flanagan fifth all having 34 laps with less than five seconds between them. Richard Johnston was sixth and Simon Pole seventh. A great race!

15-10-24 October Clubnight

Louis Parker was top qualifier, being the only driver with 38 Laps. There were four drivers on 36 Laps, Freddie Parker in second place, Karl Norris third, Josh Flanagan fourth and Benn Norris fifth.

Finals

Jaylen Lacey won the “E” Final with Darren Thomas in second place and Barry Thomas third.

The “D” final was won by Alex Forster, being two laps clear of Ian Wyatt in second place with Will Lacey a further lap adrift in third.

Bob Harley was the winner of the “C” Final with Steve Myall taking second place and Lee Henson third.

The “B” Final was very close with Chelle Snowden taking the win just over three seconds ahead of visiting driver Andrew Slingsby, Gavin Rice was third.

Another great “A” Final to complete the evenings racing with pole position driver Louis Parker setting the quickest lap and winning with the race on 38 laps. There was an extremely close battle for second place between Freddie Parker and Karl Norris, with Freddie finishing second and Karl third, both on 37 laps. Josh Flanagan took fourth place and Benn Norris fifth.

08-10-24 Superleague Round 5

Due to the loss of electrical supplies caused by a Power cut it was not possible to complete the evenings racing.

Many thanks to everyone who helped store away all the equipment with the emergency lighting in operation.

Round 5 of the Super league has been rescheduled for Tuesday 22nd October.

24-10-01 Summer League Round 11

The final round of the 2024 Summer League this week with Karl Norris being fastest in qualifying on 37 laps and Josh Flanagan second on 36 laps. Freddie Parker was third with 35 laps, Gavin Rice and Richard Johnston taking fourth and fifth places with 34 laps and Benn Norris sixth with 33 laps to complete the “A” Final line up.

Finals

Ian Craig had yet another win in the “D” Final with new member Jaylen Lacey taking second place just two laps adrift. Well done Jaylen! Darren Thomas took third place with Barry Thomas finishing fourth. Advantage Darren this week !

Paul Wallis won the “C” Final with visiting driver Ian Wyatt taking second place, Jacob Milne was third.

The “B” Final was won by Bob Harley, it was a very close finish with Ian Whiston taking second place just 0.52 seconds adrift. Steven Myall finished third being a lap down on the leaders.

Yet again a tremendous “A” Final producing an extremely close finish. Karl Norris was the winner with Josh Flanagan taking second place 0.32 seconds behind, both drivers with 37 laps. Gavin Rice was third on 35 laps with Benn Norris in fourth place, being just over a second ahead of Richard Johnston, both with 34 laps.
