26-01-16 Clubnight

James Hart dominates the evening with some “atomic” driving, being two laps quicker than the rest of the field achieving 48 laps in both qualifying and the A Final.
His closest rival Louis Parker who also had an excellent evenings racing finishing two laps down.
Nick Bruty was third in qualifying on 43 laps followed by several drivers on 42, however Nick was beaten to the finishing line in the final by a margin of 1/10th second by Gavin Maciver in a most exciting race.

In the club mardave class Jordan Galbraith was flying round the track winning all of the qualifying heats and the final to spoil his dad Pauls vision of a hat-trick of wins over the past three weeks. Well done Jordan, good to see there were no team orders! It was a great evening for team Galbraith with Paul finishing second and Joshua third to take all three podium positions.

Remember that the new league starts next week.

Apologies for a few glitches in the results, operator error with the new computer!

Finals
The mardave final was first and it soon developed into a race to the finishing line between Richard Parker and Paul Galbraith, these two being a lap clear of the rest of the field. It was a win for Richard with Paul just over 3 seconds behind, a good drive from Joshua Galbraith secured him third place.

In the GT12 C final Courtney Orme with his new bodyshell had a steady drive to take maximum points in division 3.

The GT12 A final was raced at a furious pace with both Louis Parker and Gavin Maciver driving well. Louis drove very fast and accurately and in the end was 2 laps up on Gavin with Dave Tomlinson taking third place a further 2 laps adrift.

Don’t forget next week is the ultimate round of the present league.

08-01-16 Clubnight

A depleted number of drivers this week due to the clubnight having to be moved to a friday for this week only as the hall was not available.

A good evening however with Louis Parker driving well to be best qualifier and win the A final in the GT12 class. Gavin Maciver was second in the qualifying but did not start in the final where Matt Popejoy took a fine second place.

Mike Simpson driving two cars during the evening had the dubious pleasure of being top qualifier in the Club mardave class and last in the GT12 class. Worse was to come as having won the V12 final by a very small margin from Jordan Galbraith, he was last in the GT12 B final scoring less laps than with his Mardave! – needs more practice!!!!!
Paul Galbraith on the other hand only managed a third place in the Mardave final but finished a good third place in the GT12 A final with five more laps.

Time was also taken to carry out repairs to the track markers in readiness for next weeks penultimate round of the current Autumn League.

Looking forward to plenty of exciting racing in 2016.
