26-05-26 Summer League Round 2

A new track design this week, for round 2 of the Summer League.

Karl Norris was the top qualifier in the GT12 class with 35 laps followed by Oliver Whittleston with 34 and Chelle Snowden 33 laps.

It was very close in the LMGT3 class with Richard Norris on 35 laps being the quickest by just three hundredths of a second than Simon Pole in second place. Ian Whiston was third, being a lap down.

Finals

GT12 “C” Final

A win for Kevin Flamson on 25 laps with Eric Enion taking second place just over three seconds adrift. A good race for Team Enion” with Benedict finishing in third place.

GT12 “B” Final

All of the drivers were closely matched for speed, the best lap time was set by Paul Carter , Mike Simpson was the winner on 30 laps, Will Lacey took second place and Paul Carter third.

GT12 “A” Final

A great race this with the winner being Karl Norris with 35 laps, Oliver Whittleston finished in second place and Chelle Snowden was third, both with 34 laps.

LMGT3 “A” Final

An exciting race to watch! At the finish Ian Whiston was the winner followed by Paul Fyfe, both with 33 laps, Richard Norris finished inthird place on 31 laps

19-05-26 Summer League Round 1

The first round of the Summer League with the best five scores from a possible eight to count.

Fredddie Parker was the top qualifier in GT12, it was very close as Karl Norris was just 0.53 seconds slower, both on 40 laps. Chelle Snowden was third on 39 Laps.

Simon Pole was quickest in LMGT3 and the only driver to get 40 laps. Richard Norris, Ian Whiston and Paul Fyfe all achieved 39 laps.

Finals

GT12 “C” Final

A comfortable win for Darren Thomas on 28 Laps, Benedict Enion was second with 25 laps and Innes Ireland finished third with 19 laps.

GT12 “B” Final

A good win for Joshua Hinks with 32 laps followed by Alan Popejoy on 31 laps and Kevin Flamson 29.

GT12 “A” Final

A very competitive race between Freddie Parker starting from pole position and Kalr Norris resulted in a photo finish- Freddie winning by just nine hundreths of a second with 40 laps. Chelle Snowen took third place on 39 laps.

LMGT3 “A” Final

Simon Pole won the race with 41 laps, Richard Norris was a lap down in second place , Paul Fyfe took third place ahead of Philip Cooper, both having 39 laps.

It was good to see Bob Harris racing at the club again together with two other new members Innes Ireland and Mark Ireland.

12-05-26 May Clubnight

An ordinary clubnight using the same track design as last week.

After the three qualifying rounds the quickest in classes were Bob Harley GT12 , Richard Norris LMGT3, Chelle Snowden MINI, with Gavin Rice and Josh Flanagan being the only LMP and GT12EVO drivers.

Eric Enion won the GT12 “B” Final with Phill Draycott finishing second, two laps down and Harry Popejoy was third.

Chelle Snowden took first place in the Mini “A” Final, Kevin Morris was second and Will Lacey third.

Ian Whiston was the quickest LMGT3, finishing ahead of Paul Fyfe in and Richard Norris.

In the GT12 “A” Final all the drivers finished in their starting positions on the grid. Bob Harley winning, Mike Simpson taking second place, Alan Popejoy third and Darren Thomas fourth.

05-05-26 Spring League Round 8

The final round of the Spring League this week with a change of track design which is to be used for three weeks.

Oliver Whittleston was the top qualifier in GT12 with Karl Norris in second place and Chelle Snowden third. Richard Norris was quickest in LMGT3 followed by Ian Whiston and Paul Fyfe.

GT12 “C” Final

A good start to the finals with close race for the lead between Eric Enion, Ivan Lewty and Darren Thomas, resulting in a win for Eric by just 0.86 seconds ahead of Ivan with Darren finishing in third place.

GT12 “B” Final

A good drive by Kevin Morris with a win on 35 laps being two laps ahead of Mike Simpson in second place with Chris Davis taking third place a further lap down.

GT3/EVO “A” Final

Richard Norris was the winner with 41 laps, Paul Fyfe was second on 39 laps and Ian Whiston third with 38 laps. Gavin Rice completed 37 laps with his GT12EVO

GT12 “A” Final

A great race this with Karl Norris being the winner being just over three seconds ahead of pole position driver Oliver Whittleston, both on 41 laps. Chelle Snowden took third place and Benn Norris fourth, both on 39 laps.

28-04-26 Spring League Round 7

The penultimate round of the Spring league with Karl Norris the top qualifier in GT12 with 38 laps followed by Oliver Whittleston on 37 laps with Chelle Snowden and Bob Harley both on 36 Laps.

Ian Whiston was quickest in LMGT3 with Phillip Cooper second each having 36 laps and being a lap ahead of Richard Johnson in third place. Josh Flanagan achieved 38 laps with his EVO.

Finals

GT12″D” Final

A convincing win for Benedict Enion with 24 laps, being six laps ahead of Harry Popejoy in second place with Innes Ireland a further six laps adrift in third place on his first evenings racing at the club.

GT12 “C” Final

Ed Carter was the winner on 31 laps being a lap clear of Alan Popejoy who set the fastest lap of the race, third place went to Eric Enion on 29 laps.

GT12 “B” Final

An extremely close finish to the race with Mike Simpson winning on 34 laps just ahead of Kevin Morris who set the quickest lap time. Paul Carter took third place with 29 laps.

GT3/EVO “A” Final

Josh Flanagan was fastest having 38 laps with his EVO, Phillip Cooper was the quickest GT3 driver on 37 laps ahead of Ian Whiston and Richard Johnston both on 36 laps.

GT12 “A” Final

The last race of the evening and a great one to watch with all five drivers finishing in their start order. The winner was Karl Norris with Oliver Whittleston second , both drivers having 38 laps. Chelle Snowden took third place on 37 laps, Bob Harley was fourth on 36 laps and Paul Wallis fifth on 34.
