30-05-23 Spring League Round 9

A new Simon Pole track design this week for the final round of the Spring League on which he was top qualifier, Justin Heath was second, Adam Hancock third, Guy Rogers fourth, Chelle Snowden fifth and Kayleigh Knight sixth completing the “A” Final line up.

Louis Parker was quickest in the LMP12 class being two laps ahead of Karl Norris with Freddie Parker taking third place.

Finals

Alex Forster had a great win in the “C” Final being three laps clear of the rest of the field, Ethan Wardle taking second place and Will Lacey third. Well done Alex and Ethan!!!!

The “B” Final was won by new member Sam Pope, Ian Whiston took second place with Mike Simpson third.

Justin Heath won the “A” final with Kayleigh Knight finishing in second place just ahead of Chelle Snowden, the fastest lap was set by Simon Pole who unfortunately had electrical problems with his car part way through the race.

Karl Norris was the winner of the LMP12 Final, Dan Stones was second and Freddie Parker third.

23-05-23 Spring League Round 8

Qualifying

The penultimate round of the Spring League produced a very close result in the qualifying with the top six GT12 drivers having 39 laps in round 3 with just 8 seconds separating them. Simon Pole was quickest followed by Justin Heath, Jack Walsh, Richard Norris, Chelle Snowden and Adam Hancock’

Louis Parker was the leader in the LMP 12 class with 43 laps, Karl Norris was second with 41 with Freddie Parker and Dan Stones both with 39 laps .

Finals

Caleb Jones won the GT12 “D” Final being two laps clear of Josh Freeman in second place with Will Lacey taking third place.

The “C” Final was won by Mike Simpson with Ian Whiston taking second place and also having the quickest lap of the race, Daniel Lacey finished third.

Guy Rogers won the “B” Final after a very close race, Kayleigh Knight took second place and Mckenzie Wallace third – all three drivers with 38 Laps.

A great “A” Final with Justin Heath being the winner with 40 laps, an excellent drive by Jack Walsh earned him second place on 39 laps followed by Richard Norris in third ,Simon Pole fourth , Chelle Snowden fifth and Adam Hancock sixth.

The last race of the evening was the LMP12 Final, Louis Parker was the winner with 43 laps being three laps clear on Karl Norris in second place who was three laps ahead of third place driver Dan Stones.

09-05-23 Spring League Round 7

Qualifying

Three Qualifying rounds as usual with Simon Pole the only driver to achieve 40 laps in GT12 class followed by three drivers on 39 laps, Richard Norris, Chelle Snowden, and Mckenzie Wallace taking second, third and fourth places respectively.

In LMP Karl Norris was quickest with 42 laps, visiting driver Peter Stockton second on 41 and Josh Flanagan third with 40 laps.

Finals

Ian Craig had a great win in the GT12 “D” final with Kevin Flamson being four laps down in second place.

The “C” Final was very competitive between Caleb Jones and Gaz de Roeck, at the finish there was just over half a second separating them, victory going to Caleb. Gaz finished second and Alex Forster also having a good drive to take third place.

Kayleigh Knight starting from pole position in the “B” Final took the win and was a lap quicker than the rest of the field. It was close for the next three places though with club chairman Bob Harley taking second place, secretary Mike Simpson third and Daniel Lacey fourth.

The “A” Final produced yet another high speed and thrilling race, Simon Pole was the winner with Richard Norris taking second place just 0.23 seconds behind. Chelle Snowden was third, Justin Heath fourth and Adam Hancock fifth. A great race!

The last race of the evening was the LMP Final with the drivers finishing in their start order. Karl Norris winning, Peter Stockton taking second place and Josh Flanagan third

02-05-23 Spring League Round 6

Chelle Snowden was top qualifier in the GT12 Class with Richard Norris in second place, Jack Walsh third, Nick Wallace fourth and Alfie Hart fifth.

In the LMP 12 Class James Hart was quickest, with Simon Pole taking second place and Karl Norris third.

Finals

Josh Freeman had a runaway victory in the GT12 “C” Final with 30 laps, Will Lacey finished in second place on 23, with Darren Thomas third with 18 laps.

Daniel Lacey was the winner of the “B” Final having 39 Laps, Ian Whiston took second place on 38 and Mike Simpson finished third on 37.

The “A” Final was won by Chelle Snowden on 43 laps starting from pole position on the start grid, Richard Norris was second being a lap down with 42 laps, Jack Walsh finished in third place on 41 laps and Alfie Hart took fourth place on 39 laps in his first “A” Final at Burton. Well done Alfie!

James Hart was the winner the LMP Final with 45 laps, Karl Norris was second on 43 laps and Simon Pole finished third with 41.
