Twenty-three drivers for round 2 of the league, Karl Norris being top qualifier being the only driver with 39 laps. Richard Hicklin was second with the best time of the drivers with 38 laps, ahead of McKenzie Wallace, Justin Heath and Chelle Snowden

Finals
Caleb Jones won the “D” Final being a lap clear of Ian Whiston in second place and Ethen Wardle in third.

In the “C” Final Saul Theobold was the winner, Euan Lees finished in second place and Mike Simpson third.

Adam Hancock starting from pole position was the winner of the “B” Final, Freddie Parker took second place with a fine drive ahead of Bob Harley in third.

As usual the “A” Final was closely contested, Karl Norris won with Richard Hicklin setting the fastest lap and finishing in second place, both drivers on 39 laps. Justin Heath took third place and Kayleigh Knight fourth, both on 38 laps.

Next week is round 3 of the Winter League, the Summer League Trophies will also be presented.

18-10-22 Winter League R1

Qualifying
Twenty-four drivers this evening for the first round of the Winter League.

It was very close in the qualifying with Karl Norris being quickest overall in first round, Richard Norris leading after round 2 and Karl regaining the advantage over Richard by just over a second in the third round. Chelle Snowden was third, McKenzie Wallace fourth, Justin Heath fifth, Adam Hancock sixth and Simon Pole seventh.

Finals
Euan Lees had a comfortable win in the “D” Final being two laps ahead of Ian Whiston in second place and Gaz de Roeck in third. Well done to Ethan Wardle who finished fourth in his first ever race.

Jack Walsh was the quickest driver in the “C” Final but had to settle for second place behind the winner Freddie Parker who was just under a lap ahead. Saul Theobold took third place on the same lap as Jack. It is good to see great performances from our junior members.

The “B” Final saw a close finish with Kayleigh Knight taking the win 1.5 seconds ahead of Josh Flanagan with Mike Simpson and Bob Harley finishing third and fourth respectively, both being a lap down on the leader.

The “A” Final soon developed into a tremendous battle between Karl Norris starting from pole position being chased by car 2 Richard Norris, who eventually took over the lead on lap 12 as the were both overtaking other cars. With the roles now reversed it was Karl who was chasing Richard at high speed, Karl took the lead again on lap 20 and was the winner by just over a second from Richard – both drivers having 39 laps. All the other five drivers finished on 37 Laps with less than four seconds between them. McKenzie Wallace being third, Adam Hancock fourth, Chelle Snowden fifth, Simon Pole sixth and Justin Heath seventh.
Wow – what a race !!!!

11-10-22 Clubnight

After the three qualifying rounds Karl Norris top qualifier with 40 laps, there were five drivers with 39 laps, separated by just a few seconds. Richard Norris was in second place, Chelle Snowden third, Kayleigh Knight fourth, Justin Heath fifth and Richard Hicklin sixth, setting up the prospect of a very competitive A Final.

Caleb Jones won the D Final on 32 laps being two laps clear of second and third place drivers Ian Whiston and Joseph Norris. Jen Crook racing for the first time at Burton managed a very creditable 19 laps – better watch out Adam!

In the C Final Freddie Parker had a great drive to win the race with 38 laps, Mike Simpson finished in second place with 37 laps and Adam Cowell third on 35.

The B Final was a very close race with the first four drivers all on 38 laps, the winner was Adam Hancock with Jack Walsh in second place just ahead of Bob Harley. Josh Flanagan was fourth. Well done Jack!

Just the A Final remaining where Karl Norris again achieved 40 laps to take the win. It was very close for the remaining places with some great racing. Chelle Snowden took second place, Richard Hicklin third, Kayleigh Knight fourth and Justin Heath fifth – all on 39 Laps.

Next week is the first round of the winter league.

20-09-22 Summer League R10

The last round of the Summer League with Karl Norris being the top qualifier on 43 laps, followed by Chelle Snowden also on 43, Simon Pole 42 and Kayleigh Knight, Adam Hancock, Richard Norris, Dan Stones all on 41 laps.

Finals
Caleb Jones was the winner of the C Final followed by Gaz de Roeck in second place and visiting Driver Jonathan McCaulay taking third.

Dan Stones won the B Final after a close race with Nick Wallace who was just a second slower, both drivers with 40 Laps. A great race for third place also with Josh Flanagan finishing 1.63 seconds ahead of Freddie Parker, both on 39 Laps.

Karl Norris had yet another win in the A Final with 43 Laps, Chelle Snowden took second place with Richard Norris in third, both on 42 Laps. Simon Pole and Adam Hancock were fourth fifth with 41 Laps each and Kayleigh Knight sixth with 40.

After the ten rounds of the league with each drivers Seven best scores to count, Karl Norris was the only driver to score the maximum 700 points to win The G12 F1 League.

13-09-22 Summer League R9

Qualifying
The penultimate round of the current Summer League with Karl Norris being top qualifier with an impressive 45 laps, there were four drivers on 44 laps – McKenzie Wallace in second place, Simon Pole third, Justin Heath fourth and Chelle Snowden fifth, with Kayleigh Knight taking the remaining  A Final place on 44 laps.


Finals
The D Final saw a close contest between Caleb Jones and Paul Carter, Caleb was a little quicker and took the win and his third consecutive maximum points in F3, well done Caleb!!!  Paul was second on the same lap and Gaz de Roeck third.

Mike Simpson started on pole position in the C Final but was running last after lap 1, an exciting race to watch with positions continually changing throughout the race. With under two minutes left Adam Cowell was leading but it was Mike who was first at the finish ahead of Adam in second place. Freddie Parker was third, being just over a second ahead of Richard Bates in fourth place.

Adam Hancock had a great win in a hard fought B Final with just over four seconds separating the top three drivers at the finish of the race, all on 42 laps.
Club Chairman Bob Harley took second place with Dan Stones 0.53 Seconds behind in third. Good driving also from Leon Janyshiwskyj and Josh Flanagan finishing fourth and fifth respectively, each with 41 laps.

Just the A Final left where Karl Norris was the winner, behind him there was a tremendous race for the remaining places. McKenzie Wallace set the quickest lap but after a very close contest it was Simon Pole who took second place, Mckenzie was third, and Justin Heath fourth all being on 43 laps, with Chelle Snowden taking fifth place ahead of Kayleigh Knight.
Races don’t get much better than this!

With some of the top three places still to be decided, the final round of the Summer League will be held next week.

06-09-22 Summer League R8

Another good evenings racing with Karl Norris winning the “A” Final, Chelle Snowden finishing second and McKenzie Wallace third.

Adam Hancock won the “B” Final with Kayleigh Knight less than two seconds adrift in second place, Mike Simpson was third.

Freddie Parker was the winner of the “C” Final being a lap clear of Paul Carter in second place, with Caleb Jones finishing third.

Just two rounds now remaining in the Summer League, Round 9 is next week Tuesday 13th September.

30-08-22 Summer League R7

Round 7 of the Summer League and after the qualifying rounds Karl Norris was quickest with Richard Norris in second place just under two seconds slower, Chelle Snowden was third, Kayleigh Knight fourth, Adam Hancock fifth and Justin Heath sixth, all making the “A” Final.


In the “C” Final Freddie Parker starting from second place on the grid won the race ahead of Adam Cowell in second place, with Caleb Jones finishing third.

Bob Harley had the quickest lap in the “B” Final but it was Dan Stones who won, Bob was second and Josh Flanagan third.

The “A” final soon developed into a battle for the lead between Karl Norris and Richard Norris. Karl set the fastest lap time but Richard was the winner on 38 laps by the narrow margin of 0.31 seconds. Chelle Snowden took third place with 37 Laps.
A great end to the evenings racing.

Just three more rounds remaining now in the Summer League.
Round 8 is next week – Tuesday 6th September.

23-08-22 Clubnight

An ordinary Clubnight with no league points at stake gave the opportunity experiment with different setup’s.

Three qualifying heats and a final as usual.

Gaz de Roeck won the “C” Final with Clayton McCaulay racing for the first time at burton coming a very creditable second place, Ian Craig was third after retiring early in the race.

All the drivers in the “B” Final were evenly matched in qualifying which made for a great race. Mike Simpson was the eventual winner, it was very close though with Adam Cowell finishing in second place just under a second ahead of third placed driver Leon Janyshiwskyj.

Karl Norris won the “A” Final with 36 laps, closely followed by Simon Pole in second place. Both drivers set equal fastest lap times of 9.7 seconds. Kayleigh Knight was third on 35 laps, Bob Harley and Dan Stones fourth and fifth with 34 laps with visiting driver Andy Plimmer sixth after retiring mid way through the race.

A good evening, back to the summer League next week for round 7.

16-08-22 Superleague Round 4

Just fourteen drivers this week but still a great evenings racing.
Karl Norris was the fastest qualifying, Simon Pole was second and Richard Norris third, all with 36 laps. Justin Heath was fourth on 35 and Kayleigh Knight fifth with 34 Laps.

Euan Lees won the “C” Final being three laps ahead of Gaz de Roeck in second place, Ian Craig finished third a further two laps down.

Bob Harley won the “B” Final with 33 laps, behind him there was a very close race between Mike Simpson and Leon Janyshiwskyj for second place with positions changing several times. At the finish Mike was second with Leon just half a second behind.

The last race of the evening was the “A” Final, Karl Norris was on pole position and won the race with Simon Pole taking second place just under three seconds ahead of Richard Norris who was third.

Next week is an ordinary clubnight.

09-08-22 Summer League R6

Round six of the Summer League with three qualifying rounds and a final as usual.
Darren Ford made a good start to the evening being fastest qualifier in round one, he had to settle for second place overall after Karl Norris was quickest in rounds two and three. Simon Pole was third, Chelle Snowen fourth and Richard fifth.


Caleb Jones was the winner in the “D” Final being three laps clear of Gas de Roeck in second place, with Ian Craig third a further two laps adrift.

In the “C” Final Saul Theobold was the winner, Mike Simpson took second place and Adam Cowell third. Well done Saul!

The “B” Final was a great race with all the drivers being closely matched for speed, at the finish the winner was Adam Hancock with Kayleigh Knight second and Dan Stones third.

Yet another win for Karl Norris in the “A” Final, Chelle Snowden was second and Richard Norris third.
