16-04-19 Spring League Final Round

After the qualifying rounds Karl Norris was fastest, Chelle Snowden second, Simon Pole third followed by Kayleigh Knight, Guy Rogers, Bob Harris and Bob Harley these drivers making up the A Final.

Adam Hancock was one place better than Paul Carter giving him an advantage on the grid in the final over joint F3 league leader.

In the LMP12 class James Hart was quickest by less than a second from Louis Parker with Ashley King in third place.

Time for the Finals!
First to go was the GT12 D final where a win by Freddie Parker consolidated his position as the best placed junior member in F3 and fourth overall. Saul Theobold finished in second place and Caleb Jones third.

McKenzie Wallace won the C Final with Chris Davis racing at Burton again after many years making a promising comeback to finish in second place ahead of Roy Matthews in third.

The B Final was won by Justin Heath with Mike Simpson in second place and Bailey Rice-Draycott third. The spotlight was on the battle for the F3 championship between Adam Hancock and Paul Carter. Adam failed to capitalise on his grid position and Paul, after starting last on the grid finished fourth, winning the F3 league championship on countback with both drivers tied on 597 points.

The A Final was a great race with Karl Norris starting from pole position and having won all the previous eight rounds needed the victory win them all. He made a good start but on lap 9 Chelle Snowden went into the lead with Karl trying to catch up. The race order remained unchanged for the next couple of minutes after which Karl was making up ground and on lap 24 went to the front and eventually won the race. Chelle finished in second place and Simon Pole was third just over a further 2 seconds behind. Bob Harley took fourth place and Bob Harris finishing fifth.

The last race was the LMP12 Final where James Hart was the winner, Steve Donald took second place and for the second week running beating Ashley King who was third.

A super evenings racing, congratulations to all the league winners and trophy winners.
