Twenty-four drivers this evening for the first round of the Winter League.

It was very close in the qualifying with Karl Norris being quickest overall in first round, Richard Norris leading after round 2 and Karl regaining the advantage over Richard by just over a second in the third round. Chelle Snowden was third, McKenzie Wallace fourth, Justin Heath fifth, Adam Hancock sixth and Simon Pole seventh.

Finals
Euan Lees had a comfortable win in the “D” Final being two laps ahead of Ian Whiston in second place and Gaz de Roeck in third. Well done to Ethan Wardle who finished fourth in his first ever race.

Jack Walsh was the quickest driver in the “C” Final but had to settle for second place behind the winner Freddie Parker who was just under a lap ahead. Saul Theobold took third place on the same lap as Jack. It is good to see great performances from our junior members.

The “B” Final saw a close finish with Kayleigh Knight taking the win 1.5 seconds ahead of Josh Flanagan with Mike Simpson and Bob Harley finishing third and fourth respectively, both being a lap down on the leader.

The “A” Final soon developed into a tremendous battle between Karl Norris starting from pole position being chased by car 2 Richard Norris, who eventually took over the lead on lap 12 as the were both overtaking other cars. With the roles now reversed it was Karl who was chasing Richard at high speed, Karl took the lead again on lap 20 and was the winner by just over a second from Richard – both drivers having 39 laps. All the other five drivers finished on 37 Laps with less than four seconds between them. McKenzie Wallace being third, Adam Hancock fourth, Chelle Snowden fifth, Simon Pole sixth and Justin Heath seventh.
Wow – what a race !!!!
