Nick Bruty wins the B Final and Matt Popejoy takes second place
Paul Galbraith dominates all the mardave V12 class races

Track

A very twisty design making overtaking very difficult – yes we did have to close the door to get rid of the glare from the evening sun!

Qualifying
Louis Parker made a great start to the evening by being the best qualifier in round 1 with some fine driving and maintained his position after round 2. James Hart was fastest in round 3 to take pole for the final followed by Louis in second place, Gavin Maciver was third and Dave Tomlinson fourth.
Matt Popejoy was the best in division 3 ahead of Scott Lewis and Courtney Orme.
In the club mardave class Paul Galbraith had comfortable victories in all three rounds, Mike Simpson was second and Joshua Galbraith finished ahead of Roy Matthews in division 2.

Finals
The mardave final went true to form with Paul Galbraith winning and Mike Simpson taking second place. A super performance from Roy Matthews secured him third place in front of both Joshua and Jake Galbraith.

The GT12 C Final was a remarkable race with all four drivers finishing on 31 laps after eight minutes. Alister Hart snatched the win from Courtney Orme with Alwyn Hodges in third place and Selina Woods fourth. Well done Selina!

The B Final saw a mixture of division 2 and 3 drivers, Matt Popejoy got off to a good start and was leading for the first five laps after which Nick Bruty overtook him and steadily built up a lead to win on 43 laps. There was little to separate Matt and Scott Lewis for most of the race, Matt taking second place on 40 laps and Scott third with 39.

In the A Final James Hart drove brilliantly to lead from start to finish, winning on 52 laps. Gavin Maciver got ahead of Louis Parker early in the race but Louis fought back and regained second place on lap 10. With positions changing a couple more times these two put on a great display and for most of the time being less than a second apart. It was Louis who crossed the finishing line just 0.31 seconds ahead of Gavin, both with 50 laps. Behind these two Chelle Snowden also had a good race to take fourth place and be best in division 2.

So Matt Popejoy extends his unbeaten run in the league to 9 rounds, just the ultimate round 10 to go next week to make a clean sweep – no pressure!
