BURTON BUGGY CLUB COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS (Issue 4) 23/09/2020

Racing will be for current Burton Buggy Club Members by pre-booking ONLY
The number of Persons allowed inside the venue is currently limited to 30 to ensure social distancing.

To control numbers in the venue spectators or visitors will NOT be allowed. (A responsible adult may attend to accompany and supervise a driver under 16 years of age).
Drivers must not attend if feeling unwell, are showing COVID symptoms, live in an area with a local lock down currently enforced or are required to self-isolate in line with Government guidelines.
If anyone becomes ill during the meeting they must leave immediately and the details reported to the Club Chairman or Secretary who will inform the Gresley Steward.
Drivers are required to provide track and trace information in accordance with government guidelines (Name and contact phone number)

DRIVERS MUST PRE-BOOK TO RACE – initially by text message to the club secretary.
WHEN THEIR PRE-BOOKING IS CONFIRMED THEY WILL BE SENT A CONFIRMATION TEXT
Pre-Booking will open on the Wednesday of the week prior to the event and will close at 8-00am on the race day. Information provided must include the drivers name and class of racing i.e. GT12 or LMP12 together with their contact phone number to be used for track and trace (Mobile preferred) if not already supplied.

DRIVERS WITHOUT A CONFIRMED PRE-BOOKING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RACE
The usual door used for access will be open until 7pm, it will then remain closed until the evenings racing is complete and re-opened for egress.
The Building main entrance doors must be used at all other times.
Before entering the venue, everyone must apply hand sanitiser.
The ONE-WAY systems in place must be observed at all times.

DRIVERS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN PPE – Tough gloves suitable for marshalling, Hi-Viz vest jacket, Face mask and hand sanitiser (70% alcohol minimum)
Surface cleaner, latex gloves and hand wipes are also recommended

FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES INSIDE THE VENUE .
Hi-Viz vest jackets and suitable gloves must be worn when Marshalling.
Gloves must be worn when setting out and storing away the track equipment.

Drivers arriving without THE REQUIRED PPE or failing to use it correctly will be asked to leave.

Tables for pitting have been set out by Gresley staff and should not be moved without the agreement of the Club Chairman or Secretary.
Only one Driver per pitting table unless they are “family bubble” members, a pit mat must be provided and used on the table top.
Drivers must ensure that all equipment they bring into the hall is stored in their pit area and should not share tools and equipment during the meeting.

Access to the rostrum is from the “Bar” side and exit on the “Carpark” side.

Race feesthe exact amount of cash must be tendered (Members £5, Junior Members £4). It must be dropped into the receptacle provided on each driver’s first visit to the rostrum. No change will be given.
£1 coins for drivers assisting with storing the equipment away at the end of the evening will NOT be given out, but recorded. When individuals have collected sufficient, they may use it to pay a week’s race fee.

Personal Transponders must be used by all drivers.

RACING WILL START AT 7-00pm PROMPT

Please leave your pitting area in a tidy state at the end of the evening. Items purchased from the Bar including empty bottles, cans and glasses should be returned to the designated area by the Bar. Members should take home all their own litter and waste.

No doubt this document will require modification in the light of both experience gained and changes to the current advice. Members will be sent an email notifying them when changes are made.
